ABOUT US
Tails and Trails is a family owned and operated business. Christy Mulert and her husband Dave spent a decade of research, planning and hard work preparing. Their dream came true in 2017 after investing their own labor along with that of a local contractor.
Their family has always had multiple dogs and cats — their 20 acre farm is the perfect setting. Christy's passion for animals was the beginning of her dream of providing a first-class small pet boarding business. Her kind and loving heart along with that hard work ethic is why Tails and Trails is the place to have your dog cared for.

Christy and her team have been fantastic to our family. We had recently moved to Owatonna and while we were held up in moving in to our house, Christy provided many weeks of boarding for our chocolate lab while we were in a rental. During this difficult time, Christy became like family to us. She’d send us photos and videos of our pup and would often reach out to us because she knew we missed our dog so much. She genuinely cares about the animals and their families. Even after we moved into the house and were able to have our dog with us, Christy would call and check on us. Owatonna and the surrounding communities are very fortunate to have such a wonderful service to families with dogs. I highly recommend both the boarding services as well as the drop-in doggy daycare. You will not be disappointed.
